The mission of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) is to bring together business women of diverse occupations for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking, support, and national recognition.

History
The American Business Women's Association was founded in Kansas City by businessman Hilary A. Bufton in 1949. Mr. Bufton realized the impact that women have on business and felt that a new organizaiton for businesswomen was needed. For over sixty years, ABWA has provided training and education to over 545,000 members.
Oil Capital Charter Chapter was founded in Tulsa in 1957 and remains an organization full of vibrant and talented women.
